Grade 2 disused church upgrades for the new congregation
Meanwood Church Leeds LS6 4HH
The proposal is to use the building as a place of worship for the Leeds congregation of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ)
The Church of Christ’s religious beliefs require that there are no visible icons within the fabric of the building.
The existing Grade II building had a number of gothic and religious statues on the external façade, which needed to be covered/removed.
The renovation internally was agreed with the client and with full planning application and a Historic Statement planning was received.
The disused building was brought back to life and now is in constant use.
